To cobalt friends I am still on the road, as far as Dallas, with about 1,000 more miles to start on Sunday. I am so very excited to see the global peace rallies today and amazed at the coverage on TV and radio! I am unable to post links as usual while I am "making like the White Rabbit", but love to hear from you all. I believe you "have my number" and my email address(es), so I'd love to hear from friends. I swear I can't get a song out of my head today - and I think it is "Three Dog Night", yet! Aaaaargh! But the lyrics running in a loop are something like "Power to the People - we just have to be free" - something like that. Peace, Love and Hugs, cobalt

Then, in short order Missouri, New Jersey, and Arizona proposed eliminating their arts funding altogether. States are caught in budget crises, so they're looking for places to cut. But canceling out arts agencies is more than just a financial move, it's a move by regional and local governments to get out of the arts business altogether. And the rumor mills have been running about other state governments getting set to do the same..."
