Teacher asks Sarah: "What did you do at recess?" Sarah says, "I played in the sand box." Teacher says, "That's good. Go to the blackboard, and if you can write 'sand' correctly, I'll give you a fresh-baked cookie." She does and gets a cookie. Teacher asks Morris what he did at recess. Morris says, "I played with Sarah in the sand box." Teacher says, "Good. If you write 'box' correctly on the blackboard, I'll give you a fresh baked cookie." Morris does, and gets a cookie. Teacher then asks Mustaffa Abdul Machmoud what he did at recess. He says, "I tried to play with Sarah and Morris, but they threw rocks at me." Teacher says, "Threw rocks at you? That sounds like blatant racial discrimination. If you can go the blackboard and write 'blatant racial discrimination' I'll give you a cookie."

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Two recommended websites: (New) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * MyWay.com is a new site by the same company as owns Iwon.com. The site is a portal, like yahoo, with virtually all the same features and some improvements. The reason it is a big deal is that the free email and the home page have no ads!No pop-ups, no banners, no flashing lights! Yeah! There is a search in Google on the site, which is the way their revenue will come back to them: so many hits on searches equal some payment back to them. I picked up a new email account there and am seeing how it goes - so far, so good. I spent about an hour devising my own custom colors and layout for both the email and the MyWay home page. It was a bit slow today, but the article came out in the NYTimes today about this site, and I would imagine many people were checking it out. This next site is a posting forum similar but in key ways very different from abuzz.com. Craven de Kere began this site following his study of php and cgi code since the summer. Craven had started the very popular msn.com site, The Raven's Realm, a year ago and likely has about 500 members. That site became quite burdened with all the number of posts and also the use of many photo albums and pages. As Craven looked for a faster site, streamlined for speed, he wanted to work out all the issues in development before it became widely-known. He used a Lycos site called temporaryname.com, and practised on it till he was able to purchase the rights to several domain names. Look for Able2Know.com to be popular with posters who enjoy discussing topics in depth with many, many forums. Our friend Jespah is the Lead Moderator, and there are many forum Editors familiar to abuzz members. I am currently assigned to edit several forums including art, reference, and teaching.
